Christmas at the Crown, December 8th Lunchtime

Hurray, at last our local seems to be in the act of revival under the care and experience of David and Jules–thank you both (and your whole team) for all the work you are doing, we will be so pleased to get our pub back and you will receive our full support! Eight PONS made the ‘annual’ breakfast and several ladies too for a good old fry up, and a few beers too. Here are some pics:

A Muddy Bash in Pudford Lane

In November we descended en-masse on Pudford Lane, the bridle way that climbs Pudford/Rodge Hill from opposite the entrance to Pudford Farm. JP had decided we needed to replace the old, decrepit (bit like some of the PON members) gate with a shiny new, self closing galvanized one (very unlike the PON members). Big job, last one put in many many years BP (before PONS) fixed to half a tree trunk for support, mud everywhere. After a great deal of digging, poking, shoving and heaving the post was removed, no doubt to end up on someone’s wood burner, unfortunately not mine, and the job finished. Ian installed a new signpost down the lane too. If you don’t look too carefully this shows ALL of us on the job, but it is a really bad stitch up-sorry!
